Teknoma Oy was found in 1946 under the name Ab Stålimport - Terästuonti Ab. In 1984 company purchased Teknoma (found 1937) and by fusion took this name as Terästuonti no longer was involved in import of steel products as the name indicated.
Today Teknoma imports several kind of engineering products for the Finnish industry. Our goal is to serve the local industry with high quality products which are known around the world. This gives a security to Finnish export companies to get service and spare parts where ever they sell their products and machinery.
Teknoma Oy´s sales organisation covers the whole of Finland with representative offices in several location in the country. This enables good contacts to customers. In Estonia Teknoma Oy owns the local Teknoma Eesti OÜ. We are active also in Latvia.
We are small enough to have the desire to serve our suppliers and customers, but we are big enough to be able to take care of them.
Traditionally an important group of Teknoma's customers includes pulp and paper industries. As more or less every pulp & paper plant has it's own power plant, we have a high knowledge of this industry too including nuclear and hydro power.
The whole metal industry as well as steel rolling mills in Finland have always been a part of our interesting customers. Chemical plants and refineries, machine builders, OEM's of several types, car assembly plants and production of electronic equipments including their subsuppliers are our customers too as well as tile and ceramic factories. Shipyards and their subsuppliers have recently increased their position in our sales.
